Our belly can tell others a lot about us. That we eat more than we should or that we do not avoid junk food, in particular sweet, too-salty and fat meals. It will show how many pregnancies a woman underwent or how obese she was in the past – even if you managed to fight your overweight you can suffer from the excess of abdominal skin.
Aesthetic abdominal surgeries are very popular treatments. They often constitute a second phase after losing some weight, because they help to get rid of the skin excess. One type of the abdominal surgery is abdominoplasty. People often have problems with removing fat in some body parts, e.g. in the area of belly and sides. This is a good reason to think about liposuction, i.e. the surgical removal of fat (however you should remember not to treat the liposuction as the obesity treatment). There is one method which allows us to solve all of that problems at once, namely lipoabdominoplasty.

Lipoabdominoplasty combines two renowned methods of abdominal surgery. During just one surgery both abdominoplasty and liposuction are performed. What does it exactly mean? Abdominoplasty can solve your problem with a flabby belly and excessive amount of skin whereas liposuction will let you get rid of sides which you couldn’t get rid of even by loosing weight or doing physical exercises and which may not be removed only by abdominoplasty. At PRIMED Clinic we specialize in lipoabdominoplasty and we have great results in that kind of plastic surgery.
- Lipoabdominoplasty will let you have a flat belly again, with no flabby skin
- At the same time the problem of muscular lacuna (a frequent result of giving birth) will disappear
- During the surgery, excessive amount of fat at sides is also removed what results in a better body shape and optical impression of a great loss of weight.
Lipoabdominoplasty, i.e. abdominal plastic surgery with liposuction, is a great alternative for liposuction, abdominoplasty and mini-abdominoplasty (solution to the problems of abdominal parts). This method is designed for removing excessive amount of skin and fat that often remain after pregnancy and giving birth. It’s a solution that will increase your self-conscience, let you love your body again and encourage you to take up a healthy lifestyle which allows you to keep your beauty and health. At our PRIMED Clinic we are ready to help you and return you your beauty and lost self-conscience.
In general it may be said that the method is for patients with the excess of fat and skin at the same time. For patients dealing only with problems of excessive amount of skin after pregnancy or giving birth, the classical method of abdominoplasty is enough.
As it has already been mentioned, this type of surgery should be performed in women after giving birth, yet it does not constitute any condition for the surgery. However, another pregnancy may affect the look of your belly again. The surgery itself is not recommended in case of cold or infection. Before the surgery you should not keep any diets. You should also avoid exposing your belly to sun rays. You must inform your doctor about all medicines, including dietary supplements – vitamins and minerals, Wobenzym and others that you take – they may have a significant influence on the surgery and recovery time. Our main goal is to keep you safe and to provide you with full satisfaction.
One of the main advantages of lipoabdominoplasty is its permanent effect. If you avoid putting on weight again and eat healthy, the problem of the excess of skin and fat will not bother you again.
We recommend to plan the surgery after all pregnancies, yet it should be noted that lipoabdominoplasty does not affect the possibility to get pregnant nor the safety of the labour.

Abdominoplasty is a kind of surgery you don’t have to be afraid of, yet it is performed in general anaesthesia – this is why you must undergo standard examinations before the surgery.
Usually the patients undergo the examinations three days or a week before the surgery. If you take any anticoagulants you must inform your doctor about it in advance and stop taking them under the doctor surveillance.
The surgery is performed in general anaesthesia and lasts for 3-4 hours.
First, the excess of fat on sides is removed. In case of muscular lacuna, the surgeon will then suture the muscles. Only after that he/she will remove the excess of abdominal skin.
The surgical incision is made in abdominal part, in the skin fold what let you hide the resulting scar under your underwear so that nobody will notice it.
After this relatively large operation you should be aware of the need to undergo quite long recovery. Usually patients stay at the clinic for two days after operation, then they are allowed to go home but they must obey all recovery-time instructions.
The total recovery lasts approximately one month. During this time you should wear an elastic, post-surgical belt. You are not allowed to practise sport or go for massage and similar activities. Appropriate way of recovery helps the wounds to heal better and faster.
